2022 Maserati Grecale

Maserati has revealed its most important new model – the Grecale SUV.

Designed to go head-to-head with the likes of the Porsche Macan, BMW X3 and Audi Q5, the Grecale joins the larger Levante in an expanded SUV line-up for the Italian brand.

It will launch with a three model range – GT, Modena and Trofeo. The first two are powered by a four-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine with mild-hybrid assistance, but the Trofeo gets the 395kW 3.0-litre twin-turbo V6 from the MC20 supercar.

Maserati claims the Grecale Trofeo will accelerate from 0-100km/h in just 3.8 seconds and have a top speed of 285km/h.

While the petrol-powered Grecale will go on sale in Europe later in 2022, next year will see the launch of the all-electric Grecale Folgore. It will be the brand’s second EV behind the GranTurismo teased earlier this week.
