Aiden Wagner is proud to welcome leading motorcycle accessories supplier, Yamalube to his team of sponsors for the remainder of his campaign in the 2014 Swann Insurance Australasian Superbike Championship in the Supersport category, where he currently sits second with two rounds remaining.

Since joining the Oz Wildcard Racing team following the Queensland Raceway round of the Australasian Superbike Championship in June, the Sunshine coast rider feels as though he has made a wealth of improvements both on-track and off it.

“It’s been a big year so far and to now be sitting second in the Australasian Series is a great achievement. Since joining the SW Racing team I feel I have made some great advancements in my riding and that will put me in a strong position in the lead up to the final two rounds of the Championship at Wakefield Park and Sydney Motorsport Park,” said Wagner.

To date, Aiden has achieved his road racing success aboard the Yamaha R6 Supersport bike and with the addition of the support of Yamalube, an officially licenced Yamaha product, Wagner is looking forward to building upon his success already gained in the first half of the year and delivering more top level results in final two events.

“I really have to thank Yamalube for coming onboard and helping me out for the remainder of the year, the Yamaha product has worked really well for me so I can’t wait to get some of the Yamalube products into the Oz Wildcard Racing R6 Supersport bikes and deliver some more top results,” added Wagner.

With just under two weeks until the next round of the Australasian Superbike Championship at Wakefield Park, Aiden will be looking to build upon the experience gained at the Goulburn track at the first round of the series in March and will be hopeful to move closer to the series lead in Supersport.

“Wakefield Park is a challenging track but I’ll be looking to develop my experience there from the March round and working directly with Stewart (Winton), we will hoping to achieve some more podiums and put some pressure on to get the series win in Supersport,” Wagner concluded.

Round five of the 2014 Swann Insurance Australasian Superbike Championship will take place at Wakefield Park Raceway, Goulburn, NSW on 12-14 September.
