As a driver himself, Chris Rodda knows just how important sponsorship is when it comes to competing in speedway, which is why, as the owner of Victorian business WestVic Garages & Sheds, he is dedicated to making his own contribution to the sport.
Having been a long-time speedway enthusiast and later transforming into a competitor, Rodda, from the country town of Colac, saw the opportunity as a business owner to be to throw support behind numerous speedway drivers located in the south-west region of Victoria and promote his business at the same time.
In addition to sponsoring one of the country’s leading speedway tracks in Warrnambool’s Premier Speedway, as well as Simpson Speedway, WestVic Garages & Sheds also sponsors drivers throughout a range of classes, including 410 Sprintcar talent Corey McCullagh, who rose to the scene last season by winning the biggest speedway event in the country: Grand Annual Classic.
World Series Sprintcar contracted driver Jye O’Keeffe, who recently ran second in the final Chariots of Thunder Series round at Darwin’s Northline Speedway in the Northern Territory, is also a part of WestVic Garages & Sheds’ sponsorship portfolio, along with Kane Newcombe (360 Sprintcars), Wingless Sprint drivers Shaun Lyness and Greg Bishop, Jordan Rae (Formula 500s) and Neville Gange (Super Rods).
In the upcoming 2018-19 season, Rodda will be stepping away from 410 Sprintcars as he contests selected race meetings in Wingless Sprints, including the Australian Championship at Premier Speedway.
Located in the south-west Victorian town of Colac West, WestVic Garages & Sheds has built a reputation as one of the leading shed companies throughout their state by providing unparalleled service and priding themselves on their three cornerstones of strength, style and versatility.
