Darren Vine will be the only driver in Australia ever to run a Speedcar built by Cool Chassis throughout the 2018-19 season, after he has teamed up with the Ian Boettcher Race Parts team to campaign this unique machine.

With the Cool Chassis brand being synonymous with Sprintcars worldwide, a venture into the production of Speedcar chassis has never been done by the company, making this an exciting Australian first that Vine is excited to be a part of.

Having initially debuted the Qld # 35 Ian Boettcher Race Parts owned Cool, which is powered by an Esslinger engine, at the end of last season, Vine recently returned to the driver’s seat at Brisbane’s Archerfield Speedway, enjoying a positive season start by placing second in the opening Polar Ice Series round.

“Our recent results are a fantastic indication of what we’re capable of achieving into the future with the car,” enthused Vine, who is an eight-time Australian Compact Speedcar Champion.

“The Speedcar is very responsive and packs a lot of pace, which is testament to the entire Ian Boettcher Race Parts team who have worked tirelessly to get the car to where it is at this early stage of its development.”

Although the Speedcar has plenty of potential, it’s still currently in its development stage, meaning that while Vine will be piloting the car on several occasions, planning to contest as much of the Queensland schedule as possible, as well as racing down south into NSW at Sydney’s Valvoline Raceway and Lismore Speedway.

In addition to running the Ian Boettcher Race Parts Speedcar during the season, along with making cameo appearances in the Compact Speedcar class, Vine plans to run the family-owned turbo-powered Qld # 19 Mike Vine Turbo supported Triple X car, as well as the Qld # 6 Esslinger powered Spike, owned by his brother-in-law Paul McMannim.

For his next Speedcar appearance, Vine will be competing back at Archerfield Speedway on the Saturday night of October 27 for the second round of the Polar Ice Series.

Vine would like to thank the following 2018-19 season sponsors: Mike Vine Turbos, Men at Work Exhausts, Mobile Injector Services, and Craig Thompson Machining. Special thanks must go to Ian Boettcher Race Parts, Paul McMannim, Darren’s mum and dad (Roz and Mike), and his wife (Keli).
