A massive entry to get the 2021 Championships off to a great start. Over 300 entries spread over 12 categories including Sports Cars, HQ Holden’s, Formula Ford, Sports Sedans, Historic Touring Cars, Improved Production, Saloon Cars, MG and Invited British Sports Cars, 944 Challenge, Formula Vee, Excels and BMW E30’s.
It’s a long time since the “Home of Horsepower” has seen grids of this size and all bodes well for some great racing. One of the many highlights will be a 40 minute race for Sports Cars featuring McLaren, Lamborghini, Porsche and the very exotic SIN. Capacity grids of over 40 cars in both Improved Production and Excels promises fun and games. If ever a track was built for one category it is Sports Sedans. A massive 30 car grid of bellowing 6 Litre V 8’s will confront the starter. Watch out Springvale, the earth will shake.
The organisers, MG Car Club and Motorsport Australia, in association with the Melbourne Racing Club welcome spectators and will be opening the Red Hill area. Social distancing is a must but we encourage people to bring their car and picnic and spread out on the grass. Tickets are now on sale and must be purchased before arriving at the track. Only $15.00 on both Saturday and Sunday. Tickets may be purchased.
