Leading Australian fuel distributor United Petroleum has strengthened its presence in Australian motorsport with the official V8 Supercar fuel supplier agreeing to support Ozstaff Racing Formula 3 driver Chelsea Angelo for the remainder of the 2014 season.
Already a major supporter of Australian motorsport through it’s supply of E85 Race Blend fuel to the V8 Supercar Championship and it’s backing of Paul Morris’s Dunlop Series campaign, United’s partnership with Angelo and the Ozstaff Racing outfit further expands its push into Australian Motorsport, heightening awareness of its premium blend fuels.
“Chelsea is a promising young driver and we have been following her progress closely over the last 12 months,” said United’s Head of Marketing Andrew Luxton.
“Formula 3 is an exciting class and it has some very talented teams and drivers. They are Australia’s fastest cars so it makes sense that we promote our premium fuels through that medium.”
Ozstaff Racing’s Managing Director Travice Blom was pleased to announce the partnership.
“We’re delighted to have support from United Petroleum for the remainder of the 2014 season and we hope to build on our relationship in the years to come,” said Blom.
“It’s great that we can promote a highly successful Australian-owned company through our racing activities and we’re looking forward to working with them starting this weekend at Queensland Raceway.”
Despite missing the last round of the championship Angelo sits just nine points from the lead the National class of the Formula 3 series and will be aiming to grab back the series lead this weekend.
The Formula 3 Australian Drivers Championship continues this weekend in conjunction with Round six of the Shannon’s Nationals at Ipswich’s Queensland Raceway.
