Tickford Racing has added a new sponsor for the 2018 Supercars season with independent tyre retailer TYREPLUS signing a multi-year agreement to support Mark Winterbottom’s The Bottle-O Ford.
The deal will also see the company’s Michelin and BFGoodrich tyre brands fitted to the Mustang and Rangers enhanced by sister company, Tickford.
TYREPLUS branding will appear on the lower front corners of the 2015 series champion’s Ford Supercar which was launched late last week on the eve of the first official test day of the season.
Tickford CEO Tim Edwards welcomed the team’s newest sponsor and heralded the first partnership to carry across the company’s automotive and racing divisions.
“It is always great to bring a new brand to the team but when it is a new name to the sport in general it is even more rewarding,” Edwards said.
“In TYREPLUS we have found a partner that sees the benefit of what we are building with Tickford and the new Tickford Racing brand and their passion has only helped further enhance the already strong start to our relationship.

The Tickford/TYREPLUS alliance grew from a relationship formed during last year’s engineering development of Tickford’s Bathurst ’77 Special Mustang hero car which comes fitted with Michelin Pilot Sport 4 S tyres.

TYREPLUS are the authorised and preferred dealer of Michelin and BFGoodrich tyres, with their centres also offering a wide choice of other major tyre brands, lubricants, batteries, suspension and braking systems.
