Australia’s leading motor sport medical service provider, Team Medical Australia, signs a new agreement with Confederation of Australian Motor Sport for CAMS promoted rounds of the Shannons Nationals.

Team Medical Australia has already provided medical services to various Shannons Nationals events over a number of years. This new agreement ensures that more Shannons Nationals events than ever before will get world class medical treatment at the track when they need it for the foreseeable future.

“This is another amazing achievement by the team and reflects not only the highest quality medical service we provide, but also trust that we will continue to perform as the best in Australia” said Dr Brent May, President and Chief Medical Officer of Team Medical Australia.

“These new events, including the first ever event at Tailem Bend, mean that the drivers, teams and officials involved will be provided with contemporary, world class trauma management.”

These new rounds are in addition to the PIARC promoted Phillip Island round of the Shannons Nationals that Team Medical Australia already cover.

Team Medical Australia already provide medical services for numerous events nationally, including nine rounds of Supercars and the Bathurst 12 Hour, and also support the MotoGP, World Superbike and Australian Formula 1 Grand Prix as well as international events. Now in their 13th year, Team Medical Australia has cemented itself as the most significant motor sports medical service provider in the country.

Team Medical Australia is made up of volunteer doctors, nurses, paramedics, specialty drivers and other staff who attend motor sports events almost every weekend somewhere in Australia, and occasionally around the world.
