Hessions Auto Parts Grafton Speedway blasts back into action this Saturday night and headlining the action is going to be the thundering V8 Dirt Modifieds.
After Grafton Speedway has had a one-month break from racing, this Saturday night’s action is going to be one of the final outings for the V8 Dirt Modifieds prior to their Australian Title at the nearby Lismore Speedway over the Easter Long Weekend.
So far this season at Grafton Speedway, the V8 Dirt Modified feature-race winners have been shared between three drivers: current and four-time Australian Champion Mark Robinson (NSW Title), five-time Australian Champion Kevin Britten (Super Dirt Series) and youngster Seiton Connor-Young (Season Opener).
For Saturday night’s V8 Dirt Modified racing around the 440-metre Grafton Speedway track, the leading contenders are likely to be Connor-Young, local father and daughter duo Andrew and Taylah Firth, the Corbett brothers Chris and Dale – Chris recently finished second in the Victorian Title, and another fast local in Joshua Rose.
Apart from the 20 plus V8 Dirt Modifieds as the headlining act, the popular Holden VS Ford class of the RSA Street Stockers will host the latest Northern Rivers Rumble Series round, and there are plenty of potential winners amongst the field, including drivers such as Jakob Lesha, Greg Dickinson, Adrian Williams and Adam Grill. The NSW Title for the RSA Street Stockers was battled out last month at Grafton Speedway, so the drivers competing on Saturday night are excited to return to action.
Completing the night’s racing program are going to be the SSA Production Sedans, RSA Four Cylinder Sedans, SSA Street Stocks and the Junior Sedans.
