BlackArts Racing [‘BAR’] driver Charles Leong, 2017 Asia Formula Renault Champion, has been invited by Renault Sport Racing for the Formula Renault Eurocup Official Rookie Tests 2017, held in Barcelona, on Tuesday October 31st.
Leong won the prestigious honor after taking the 2017 Asia Formula Renault Driver’s Championship with BlackArts Racing, based at Zhuhai International Circuit.
The Macanese driver will do a minimum of 250kms in a Eurocup spec Formula Renault 2.0 in Barcelona complements of Renault Sport, with his 2018 plan to compete in the Formula Renault Northern European Cup with BlackArts Racing. After BAR’s Asia Formula Renault team and driver championship wins in 2015, 2016, and 2017, the team is aiming to extend its success to the European racing scene by entering two cars in the 2018 Formula Renault NEC Championship.
