Relaunch for world’s ‘most liked’ tyre brand


MEDIA RELEASE: The “most liked” tyre brand globally on Facebook, Nitto Tyres, has relaunched in Australia with the announcement of a new nationwide distribution channel and a new website.

The popular tyre marque has further strengthened its commitment to the local market with the appointment of prominent motorsport stuntman Matty Mingay as brand ambassador.

Nitto Tyres Australia marketing manager Jose Angeles said the 136-outlet Bob Jane T-Marts chain will exclusively retail the company’s broad range of ultra-high performance, 4×4, SUV and passenger tyres.

“This national retail partnership, along with the new dedicated website, will dramatically expand Nitto’s presence in Australia and make our tyres much more accessible to an already extensive fan base,” Mr Angeles said.

“With over 11.7 million Facebook fans, Nitto is the most liked tyre maker in the world, exceeding the fan bases of prestigious automotive marques.”

Mr Angeles said Mr Mingay is Australia’s number one action sports athlete.

“He performs in front of 2.2 million people a year and pushes tyres to their limit, which aligns perfectly with the enthusiasm and passion the Nitto brand stirs with drivers.”

Mr Mingay said Nitto was his first choice of tyre.

“When I am on track with my team in front of crowds all over the world drifting, truck jumping and pushing the limits, we are putting our lives on the line. We rely on Nitto tyres to help us go hard and put on the best show we can, and to get us home safely after the show is over,” he said.

The website is the first dedicated information hub for Nitto tyres locally. Mr Angeles said the site would allow motorists to research the right Nitto tyre for their vehicle and locate their closest dealer with ease.

“Localised online information will make the brand more accessible and the process of tyre purchasing easier and more intuitive for Aussies in every suburb,” he said.

The relaunch of Nitto Tyres coincides with a unique “buy 4, get 1 more” promotion across all Nitto SUV and 4×4 tyres that runs through February and March, only at Bob Jane T-Marts outlets.
