Ramsdale Wreckers Racing team principal Russell Hill is excited to announce together with Jacob Mills that the two have joined forces for the 22/23 season with Jacob Mills to compete in his own VS Commodore SSA Production Sedan as the ‘Ramsdale Wreckers Racing’ house car for the upcoming season.

Hill along with his partner Sara run the successful and well-known Pakenham based business ‘Ramsdale Wreckers’ and have both had successful careers behind the wheel themselves racing in numerous classes.

Prior to this season starting, the couple have determined that they themselves would not do much, if any racing this season with business, children and other general family life occupying much of their time and the decision was made to align themselves with somebody they really felt would be competitive and active when it comes to racing and would also contribute to promoting the ‘Ramsdale Wreckers’ business name.

That person is Jacob Mills a former SSA Production Sedan national Champion and Junior Victorian Speedway Council Junior Standard Saloon champion.

“Jacobs father Trevor Mills has been a long-time hero of mine, “Hill said.

“I have looked up to his style of driving and his competitive edge for many years and I come to know of Jacob through building upon my own friendship with Trevor in recent years.

“Jacob has been incredibly competitive in recent times in Street Stocks and of course that second place result at the national SSA Production Sedan title at Wahgunyah and who can ever forget that he won a national Production Sedan title at 17-years-old.

“Jacob is a young fella with children and is returning into Production Sedans this season and Sara and I could see that we could offer some support to help out the team and chase some success at big events this season.”

The VS Commodore will be wrapped up with ‘Ramsdale Wreckers’ approved decal with all of Jacob Mills personal supporters.

Jacob will compete in as many Production Sedan features his availability allows with events such as the national title in Western Australia, the Victorian title, and New South Wales titles certain, whilst a trip to Queensland in January is a possibility.

Jacob currently from the Riverina area in New South Wales will jump the border into Victoria for competition through the season and in recognition of ‘Ramsdale Wreckers’ long involvement with Nyora Raceway, the Production Sedan will be Nyora registered this season.

Production Sedan racing may take him to Wahgunyah, Wangaratta, Swan Hill, Horsham, Hamilton, Portland, Redline, and Nyora in Victoria whilst places like Leeton, Goulburn, Dubbo and others in New South Wales may be on the schedule also.

Mills will also compete in the team XF Falcon Standard Saloon on race days where Production Sedan competition is not on.

Whilst the Victorian title for that class is a definite event he will compete in at Wangaratta.

Jacob who is a member of the Mills Racing Team, shared his delight in the partnership with Ramsdale Wreckers Racing and Russell and Sara.

“It is funny to hear Russell tell me he looks up to my father and has been an admirer of my own racing career also,” Mills said.

“Because I have long looked at my own fathers and Russell’s careers and success as being impressive, that’s two careers I admire.

“When I am done racing I hope to have had the same success myself.

“Racing is very much in my blood just as it is with dad and the Hills.

“It is exciting times, and I cannot wait for the racing to begin.

“I want to thank Russell and Sara for their support for the upcoming season.

“It means so very much to me right now after a couple of difficult years. I cannot wait to represent them both, sell some merchandise, win some races, make new friends, and have some laughs along the way.”
