Rally to help families impacted by childhood cancer

thumbThe Queensland Rally community will be showing their support to Queensland’s Childhood Cancer Support at Camp Crystal this Saturday 11 April just north west of Brisbane.

Camp Crystal stands for Cancer, Related, Youth Support Time Allocated to Laughter.

The camp is a free getaway for oncology families to recharge and live life outside of hospital appointments.

Kim Acworth, a rally driver from Team Aschon said she will been attending the charity event for the second year running as she loves seeing the impact this experience has on the children.

car“Camp Crystal is now a permanent on my rally calendar each year as there is nothing better than seeing the faces of these vulnerable children light up when they are in the passenger seat.”

“Rally has been a huge part of the camp as we want to give these children an experience unlike any other. It’s also important to promote women and families in motorsport,” said Mrs Acworth.

Mrs. Acworth has been racing since 2008 and will be entering the Australian leg of the World Rally Championship in Coffs Harbour this September.

Camp Crystal is held on a private property, The Thompsons Farm 1569 Tarome Road, Moorang in Aratula QLD.
