MEDIA RELEASE: In the blink of an eye the Lefand Group sponsored Mariani Motorsports Top Fuel Dragster will be back on track and ready to take on the best that Australian Top Fuel has to offer.
And with just 5 days until the Santo’s Summer Thunder event, driver Mark Mariani could not be more excited.
“We are going through the process of dotting the I’s and crossing the T’s, to make sure we’re in the best position we can be for this race. Much like we did for our last event in May 2016 at the Nitro Champs.” shares Mark.
2016 is a year that Mark would like to remember and forget. “I experienced the highest-of-highs and the lowest-of-lows, from both personal and racing perspectives. Because of this, I’m so looking forward to kicking off 2017 with (another) big win for our returning marketing partner Lefand Group, and our new charity that we’re raising awareness for; Camp Quality.”
“We have most of the crew from our last event confirmed, and will also have Premium Motorsports Products’ Mike Domagala back over from the US to take on his role of Crew Chief.
“Mike’s wife and business partner Michelle is also flying across to help us out in and around the Pit with our PR Team, so things will pretty much have the same feel as when we won the Nitro Champs. We are all looking forward to continuing to improve on our performance from that event, as we are sure the car has still got more left in her.”
Lefand Group CEO Philip Iacovou is unable to attend, as he will be on vacation with his family until Monday after the event, however he has assured us that there will be a good showing from his Staff in the Mariani Motorsports Corporate Lounge and in the Pit.
His father Lee Iacovou will be joined by a number of corporate guests, and we can’t wait to spend time with them all!
Mark gave a very special shout-out to Daniel Karakoc and Domenic Lucisano, who he says are his two most important team members. They have both worked consistently since the last event to help make sure Mariani Motorsports hits the ground running in 2017. The Team could also not hit the track without Team Owners, Mario & Pam Mariani (Mark’s parents), and Mark himself.
