MEDIA RELEASE: Queensland fast femme Jodanna Pullen is feeling more confident than ever heading to this weekend’s East Coast Nationals at Sydney Dragway, after completing a testing period that has yielded record results.

Following the Fuchs Winternationals in June of this year, the Super Stock racer joined with five-time Pro Stock champions Tremaniac Racing to bring a new direction to her FemRPM team and her VZ Holden Monaro.

At the same time, she began a relationship with experienced crew chief Mark Walpole of Rob Tucker Racing fame – who recently toured with the RTR team during their 2014 NHRA drag racing season in America – as well as RTR crewman Danny D’Andily.

“We only formed these new partnerships at the end of June, yet when we hit the track for testing in July we straight away set a new personal best elapsed time of 7.35 seconds,” said Pullen.

“It was clear immediately that this new direction and the guidance of these experienced players was paying off, and since then, it has just gotten better.

“Since then, we have completed three further test days, with the car going faster each time. We are now running faster than the current speed record for my class (186.12mph) and close to the record for the elapsed time (7.332s) with a personal best of 7.353 seconds at 186.74 miles per hour.

“With the testing program now complete, I have never been so excited leading up to a racing meeting as I am now.”

Pullen is the only female currently racing in the Super Stock bracket, with it having been more many years since a woman took out victory in the class.

“The never give up attitude is what has gotten me here, and sees me ready now to sort all the men out in this elite class of sportsman racing!” said Pullen.

“So many times I have heard ‘you can’t’ or ‘you won’t’ or ‘you don’t know how’, but failure has never crossed my mind. All I needed was some guidance from the best in the business and to surround myself with successful people – I have done that and the results are already speaking for themselves.

“Now, the testing is over and it is time to take that next step of seeing what we can do at a national-level race meeting with this new package – I can’t wait!”

The East Coast Nationals will be held at Sydney Dragway across the 7th and 8th of November.
