Perfect weather and close racing predicted for tomorrow’s Troy Bayliss Classic
The event is shaping as the best yet, with ideal weather conditions, an exciting entertainment package and arguably the strongest line-up of racers from juniors through to the Legends and All-stars class, set to produce close on-track action.
International interest in the iconic event also continues to grow with this year’s instalment attracting spectators from Europe and the USA.
Event Organiser Troy Bayliss said visitors to the event could expect to witness some intense on-track battles.
“Everyone has brought their ‘A-game’ this year so the racing will be intense” Bayliss stated.
“American Sammy Halbert returns and we have some exciting young racers like Australian speedway racer Sam Master and British Supersport Champion Billy McConnell who are contesting their first Troy Bayliss Classic.
“The track is in the best condition it has ever been in and the facilities have had further improvements. It is great to see the club looking so good.” Bayliss continued.
“We also have an incredible line-up of support classes with the best racers from around Australia who all qualified through title events to earn their spot on the start grid.
“I really think this will be our strongest event yet,” he added.
Throughout the day riders will be available for autograph sessions and a limited edition range of event merchandise will be offered for sale in ‘trade alley’.
Tickets to the 2017 Motul Pirelli Troy Bayliss Classic presented by Shannon’s Insurance will be available to purchase at the main entry gate (cash only) which opens to the public 9.00am ahead of the on-track racing program which commences at midday.
