MEDIA RELEASE: OVO Mobile has signed a three-year exclusive agreement with the Dorna WSBK Organisation, becoming the Australian Telecommunications Partner for the World Superbike Championship. OVO will live-stream the audio commentary for all WorldSBK, WorldSSP, WorldSSP300 and Superstock 1000 events on its OVOPlay platform. This includes Yamaha Finance Australian Round at Phillip Island to be held on 25th and 26th February.

OVO Mobile will also provide Superbike catch-ups of 50 minute highlights programmes for each 2017 event, to be made available within 48 hours of the final flag’s fall. These highlights will be available for fans to view on OVO streaming platform, OVOPlay, after these events so fans won’t miss any of the action.

“Securing the rights to live-stream the commentary and provide highlight packages for WorldSBK competitions on OVOPlay is something I know fans of the sport will be revved-up about. We are extremely excited to bring the WorldSBK experience closer to our audience and provide yet more choice for our customers,” said Matt Jones, OVO Mobile CEO.

Marc Saurina, WorldSBK Commercial and Marketing Director said, “Signing this deal with OVO is great news for our championship. We are looking ahead to ensure our ever expanding fan base continues to grow and building a relationship with a company such as OVO Mobile is the perfect way to do this.”

Fans can access the OVOPlay app to gain free access to WorldSBK, WorldSSP, WorldSSP300 and Superstock 1000 events and other sports content. Anyone with an OVO Mobile account will be able to stream the content data-free.

Go to OVO.com.au to sign up for OVO Mobile and http://ovo.com.au/play to view OVOPlay. While this service is available to anyone wishing to access the content, OVO Mobile customers will be able to view content without incurring data charges.
