Melbournes Nic Carroll currently competing in the 2019 Super 3 Series for Matt White Motorsport will contest in this weekends Track Attack Excel Enduro alongside front running TA2 series driver Nathan Herne.
Carroll and Herne managed to put a deal together over night and receive a late entry into this weekends Hyundai Excel race. They will head straight into qualifying this morning followed by three sprint races and then onto Sunday 170km enduro.
“I am stoked to be able to get a deal together to compete in this weekends excel enduro. I was on the phone to Paul Morris Thursday night and he mentioned having a run in the excel this weekend. I jumped on a plane yesterday with my race gear and managed to get a deal together thanks to the help of Paul.
It will be great to get some laps in before the last round of the 2019 Kumho Tyre Super 3 Series next weekend at Sandown.. It will be a lot of fun racing alongside Nathan, neither of us have seen or driven the car yet so we have a fair bit to learn come Sunday’s race.” (Carroll)
“I got a last minute call at about 5pm Friday afternoon from Nic asking if i wanted to jump in to the excel for the endurance race this weekend. Obviously they’re a bit different to a TA2 and this is the closest I’ve been to the series. It will be awesome fun to drive with Nic and we’ll both be pushing each other to learn as quickly as possible to try get this thing cracking!” (Herne)
Nathan and Nic will join the 36 car grid alongside the likes of Brodie Kostecki, Will Brown, Broc Feeney, Declan Fraser, Nash Morris and Zane Goddard.
