Nexen Tyre Mazda Racing Series Locks In 2023/24 Season Dates
In association with the Super Sprint Motorsport New Zealand Championship promoter’s early announcement of the 2023/24 season dates, the Nexen Tyre Mazda Racing Series can confirm their participation on the programme at the country’s premier events for the 2023/24 season.
The following dates have been confirmed with the promoter.
• 23-26 November 2023: Taupo International Motorsport Park, Taupo
• 26-28 January 2024: Circuit Chris Amon Manfeild, Feilding
• 9-11 February 2024: Mike Pero Motorsport Park, Ruapuna, Christchurch
• 16-18 February 2024: Highlands Motorsport Park (NZ Grand Prix), Cromwell
• 15-17 March 2024: Hampton Downs Motorsport Park, North Waikato
• 19-21 April 2024: Circuit Chris Amon Manfeild, Feilding
These high-profile events will be televised live on Sky Sport, along with TV3 and will feature in many other media outlets. To date the Nexen Tyre Mazda Racing Series are one of the few categories who have dates secured with the Toyota Racing Series, Toyota 86 Championship and Super GT the only other classes confirmed at this stage.
There will be additional dates added in due course at other events throughout New Zealand in both the North and South Island to form the full North and South Island legs of the championships.
“The notable event in the line up is the New Zealand Grand Prix which will be run at Highlands Motorsport Park in Cromwell for the first time,” says Steven Spear, Vice President of the Nexen Tyre Mazda Racing Series. “The news is very exciting for the class as it gives the Nexen Tyre Mazda Racing Series a secure future and with confirmed dates being available so early, it ensures competitors the opportunity to plan well in advance,” he said
