The Australian Grand Prix Corporation is proud to announce My Room as the Official Charity Partner of the Formula 1® Rolex Australian Grand Prix 2019.
The Formula 1® Rolex Australian Grand Prix 2019, 14 – 17 March, marks My Room’s first year as the Official Charity of the Formula One season opener.
My Room is a volunteer-led organisation dedicated to raising funds to achieve a 100% cure rate for all childhood cancers.
My Room Chairman Maurizio Marcocci said that My Room is proud to partner with the Formula 1® Rolex Australian Grand Prix 2019.
“My Room supports thousands of children affected by cancer through funding of clinical research and trials, clinical care, medical equipment and offering assistance and support to the families of patients,” Marcocci said.
“We are thrilled to have the support of the Australian Grand Prix Corporation and to be represented at one of Melbourne’s major international sporting events as the Official Charity Partner. We’ve got some exciting experiences in store for race-goers who want to get involved with such an important cause,” he said.
All money raised at the Formula 1® Rolex Australian Grand Prix 2019 will go towards funding clinical research that will lead to better treatment outcomes and most importantly that much needed cure.
Australian Grand Prix Corporation CEO, Andrew Westacott, shared Marcocci’s sentiments and enthusiasm for the partnership.
“We are looking forward to working alongside My Room to help drive awareness of such an important cause on a national and global scale,” said Westacott.
“As an organisation we are extremely passionate about utilising our renowned event to raise awareness, educate our fans, and assist My Room in reaching their fundraising goals,” continued Westacott.
Across the four days of the Formula 1® Rolex Australian Grand Prix 2019, My Room will host several activations including a dedicated marquee where they will be educating fans and hoping to raise much needed funds.
