Lincoln Electric renews with Shell V-Power Racing Team

Shell V-Power Racing Team has announced a multi-year extension of their deal with partner Lincoln Electric.

Lincoln Electric supplies Shell V-Power Racing Team with TIG, MIG and Arc welding equipment, along with plasma cutters and various accessories and consumables used by the fabrication department.

The partnership began at the inception of the Dick Johnson Racing and Team Penske merger in 2014, and has been ongoing ever since.

Lincoln Electric also partners with Team Penske in the United States, providing all the equipment used at the team’s state-of-the-art headquarters in Mooresville, North Carolina.

Paul Vermeij, Managing Director Lincoln Electric Australia & New Zealand said, “at Lincoln Electric, we are proud to continue our global partnership with the Shell V-Power Racing Team. As one of the leading Supercars teams, Lincoln Electric is proud to play a key role in helping the team achieve success in one of the most fiercely competitive motorsport categories in the world.”

“There is no sterner test of welding and fabrication than the motorsport arena and it helps Lincoln Electric explore the limits and develop new welding technologies”.

Shell V-Power Racing Team Managing Director Ryan Story said that without Lincoln Electric’s support and equipment, the team couldn’t go racing.

“The equipment supplied by Lincoln Electric is pivotal in the building and fabrication of our cars on a daily basis,” said Story.

“The quality and reliability is second to none, and will be very important as we transition from Falcon to Mustang in 2019.”
