Border Towing Enoggera Workshop | Car 7 | Jayson Cassells and Ken Samway
Coming into the 2018 Lakeside 300, no driver has won both of the Queensland Endurance Championship events – no name on the Willowbank honour roll features on the Lakeside honour roll, and vice versa – but, Jayson Cassells and Ken Samway are in a position to change that trend this year.
The Willowbank 300 winners will line up for their second crack at the Lakeside 300, where they claimed a division victory in 2017 – in their maiden Queensland Endurance Championship outing. Their triumph at Queensland Raceway, in April’s Willowbank 300, was the first time that a Nissan had won the event.
Their Border Towing, Enoggera Workshop 180sx, and the SR20 engine, were both only built two years ago, by Ken Samway Motorsports, shortly after he and Cassells made the switch from speedway to circuit racing.
The #7 entry will be one to watch, as Jayson Cassells and Ken Samway look to repeat the success they enjoyed in April, in their quest to be crowned Queensland Endurance Championship victors.
The Lakeside 300 will be staged on Sunday, September 30.
