Krikke Motorsport 40 years strong

Currently in preparation to enter what will be their 40th season of sprintcar racing, Krikke Motorsport will once again have the potent and professional services of Kerry Madsen behind the wheel of the WA # 2 Maxim machine for the upcoming 2019-20 season.Krikke Motorsport 40 Years Strong

While their season schedule is not yet set in stone, it will of course include the majority of the country’s blue-ribbon events, including the Australian Championship in Tasmania and the Grand Annual Classic in Victoria.

The Bunbury, WA-based team also intend to participate in the World Series Sprintcar (WSS) Championship, which would make this season their 20th straight as a contracted team. Krikke Motorsport team manager Ryan Krikke is looking very forward to what the season has in store for them.

“Heading into our 40th season and potentially our 20th WSS contract, I couldn’t be more excited to get our second season with Kerry underway,” said Krikke enthusiastically.

“We first hit the road with WSS in the 1999-2000 season with Donny Schatz (USA), which we intended to be a once off when Shane (Ryan’s brother) was first diagnosed with cancer. Who would have thought that we would be looking down the barrel of 20 straight years with WSS!

“It’s such a milestone and we really want to mark occasion as best we can. We may be the longest serving WSS team and it’s an opportunity for us to pay homage to our long-standing history in the sport and of course hopefully keep the success coming, making it a season to remember.”

Set to start the season with new cars and refreshed engines, thanks to Maxwill Racing Engines, Krikke Motorsport will be hoping for a strong start when they take to the track, with Krikke believing that the team will be bolstered even further by the fact that crew chief Dylan Buswell is currently spending time at the track with Madsen in America.

KMS are also very pleased to welcome a new major sponsor and oil supplier on board in the form of Mobil 1, the world’s leading synthetic engine oil manufacturer.

In addition to Mobil 1, major sponsors Transport Equipment Hire and Pumpa Manufacturing have once again put their support behind the Krikke Motorsport team, along with Maxwill Racing Engines, PWR Performance Products, Redline Media, Performance Racegear, HRP Specialties, and P1 Advanced Racewear.
