Young Sydney-sider, Harley Haber is set to return to the V8 Touring Cars scene this weekend at The Bend Motorsport Park with new supporter in iPLAN Consulting.
Haber starred in his maiden hitout with Image Racing in the former Shane van Gisbergen/Stone Bros Racing Ford at Queensland Raceway last month and with the Virgin Australia Supercars Championship’s first visit to The Bend, he sees it as a level playing field heading into this weekend’s historic event.

His new supporter in iPLAN Consulting is a Brisbane-based global outfit specialising in multi-million dollar end-to-end Project Management, primarily in the heavy construction, mining, oil and gas industries – including projects in Africa, the UK and Australasia – and the opportunity to join Haber is one that they are excited about.
“To come on board with young talent like Harley is a big thing for iPLAN,” said Managing Director, Shane Chidgzey. “The level of exposure that the V8 Touring Cars offers through the Fox Sports coverage – which is hugely popular in the industries we specialise in – is a terrific ground level opportunity.

The diminutive 19-year-old Haber himself built a huge amount of confidence from his first V8 Touring Cars event at Queensland Raceway and is very much focused on attacking the wide open spaces of the 4.945 kilometre The Bend Motorsport Park in Tailem Bend.
“Our test day in the iPLAN Consulting Ford was hugely positive at The Bend,” said Haber – who has graduated from the CAMS Formula 4 Championship. “The track is like nothing else in Australia and to be here with iPLAN on the Supercars bill is massive for our entire team.
“Image Racing has the car prepared immaculately as always, and physically, I couldn’t be better prepared for the weekend.
“Queensland Raceway was a challenging weekend in many respects, not to mention it was my first time in a V8 Touring Car, so to be among the top five like we were all weekend and get the results first time out in a Supercar was a positive outcome.
“With an event under my belt I know what to expect now and with an awesome new sponsor in iPLAN Consulting, we go there ready and willing to challenge for the top spot on the podium.
“To have Shane and the team at iPLAN come on board for this event is exciting. We know that there are a lot of guys and girls in the industries they deal with that follow the Supercars Championship religiously so hopefully they’ll all be tuning in on Fox Sports or at the track and pushing us to the front of the field.”
This weekend, Harley has also drawn support from online men’s support resource, Blokes Advice, along with iStyle Studio who deliver the outstanding race livery, Hybrid Racing Sims and Viztek Media.
The V8 Touring Cars will feature in two practice sessions on Friday August 24 before qualifying and a race on Saturday and two races on Sunday.
