The annual FeNaClNG Festival is always an exciting event for the city of Karratha and this season is no exception, with Argonaut Engineering & Construction Nickol Bay Speedway playing host to an action-packed racing schedule, headlined by Wingless Sprints and Junior Sedans and supported by DCI Electrical and Rail Possessions Australia.
Set to be held over two massive nights on August 2 and 3, this season’s FeNaClNG event will not only include the hotly-contested Wingless Sprint Classic and Junior Sedan feature, but will be bolstered by an exciting support program, making for a great weekend of racing.
While a formidable field of local drivers will no doubt be in attendance, Argonaut Engineering & Construction Nickol Bay Speedway Vice President Trevor Jolly is hoping to see some Perth-based and south-west entrants join the fray.
“It would be fantastic to see some nominations from drivers throughout the rest of Western Australia to give the event the added boost of rivalry with state pride on the line,” said Jolly.
“We’ve already received quite a lot of interest from each of the classes and we’re expecting this to increase significantly as the event approaches. Being a part of the FeNaClNG Festival is something that we look forward to every year and we’re hoping to once again see the people of Karratha turn out in droves to be a part of it as well.”
Named the FeNaClNG Festival due to Iron (Fe), Salt (NaCl) and Natural Gas (NG) being the three main products exported from Karratha, the festival consists of numerous events, including arts and crafts markets, food stalls, rides and other activities, with the speedway being a huge draw for large crowds.
