Ferguson to tackle the unknown for Vic Title
Kasey Ferguson heads into the Victorian Junior Sedan Title this weekend with a goal to qualify for the A Main but she knows it won’t be an easy task.
“Qualifying would be amazing but is also going to be very hard,” the driver of the Number 11 said.
“This weekend will be the first ever time I have driven on the Hamilton track.
“I have visited many times to support my family and their racing since I was a baby but have never got the chance to race there.”
With the event being run over Friday and Saturday night, Ferguson said she will take the Title heat by heat and hope for a positive outcome.
“I’m not working myself up to only get disappointed if I do miss out on making the main event,” she said.
“My biggest challenge this weekend will be getting used to the track with no time under my belt.
“But fingers crossed everything goes to well.”
Ferguson said to take the Title home it would be a dream come true, but also realises it is an achievement every other driver will be vying for.
“Being a Victorian Title it would be amazing to win and represent the state,” she added
“However, to simply finish the Title would make me really happy.”
Ferguson said defending champion Ardie Jonic is the driver to beat because he has taken out so many Titles already.
“Also a lot of the Victorians down here are very fast and certainly know how to race a good race,” she said.
