Redline Raceway closed out its season on Saturday night May 18th with not one, or two, but four blue ribbon events on the programme, the show was topped by Ballarat’s Brooke Ferguson winning the Street Stock Queen of the Mount event for women only, whilst another Ballarat local Zac Swanson won the final round of the Mental Racewear Sports Sedan Stampede series and visiting Junior Sedan racers Brad Gartner and Carter Metcalfe won the Top and New Star Junior series rounds respectively. 
In the Street Stock action Ferguson was consistently fast all night with her mother Karen the second fastest racer on track. Brooke won two of her three qualifiers on the way to the twenty five lap final where she went straight to the race lead ahead of Sara Benson and Belinda McCoubrie. Megan Cheeseman and Karen Ferguson moved up and down in the top five early in the race before McCoubrie dropped out of the running and Karen Ferguson moved to third around lap sixteen.
At the end of twenty laps Brooke Ferguson had won by eleven seconds with Benson who ran second all the way finishing ahead of Karen Ferguson, Kelly McDermott and Felicity Roycroft to round out the top five.
In the Top Star Junior racing Kasey Garlick was the fastest driver on track during the evening, however she couldn’t quite cement a victory at the end of the evening. Garlick had two heat race wins on the way to the final and lead until lap nine in the fifteen lap final. Around her Mitch Glynn, Brad Gartner, Courtney Meakins and the Micallef brothers Ben and Darcy, had swapped positions around until Gartner settled into a groove and moved to the front and on to the win from lap ten.
Gartner from South Australia defeated Garlick, Glynn, Courtney Meakins and Ben Micallef.
Carter Metcalfe from Mildura graded as a New Star racer this season was impressive, so impressive in fact that he set a new Junior Sedan one lap record at Redline as the first and only driver ever to record a lap in the class lower than seventeen seconds, the new record is 16.826. Metcalfe won two of his three qualifiers as did another Mildura racer Will Shore before the twelve lap final event.
Metcalfe and Shore moved straight to the front and Metcalfe put some distance between him and second. Linken Paterson settled in at third. A crash on lap nine where Metcalfe tried to work through some tangled up backmarkers resulted in the leaders car coping substantial damage and the race was declared at that point with Metcalfe winning despite the car looking like it had been through a demolition derby!
For the final round of the Mental Racewear Sports Sedan Stampede Series Bendigo racer Lachlan Fitzpatrick set a new one lap record, just two weeks after Zac Swanson had done the same thing. The new record is 15.420 for one lap. Fitzpatrick and Swanson both won two of their three qualifiers prior to the thirty lap final.
Fitzpatrick snapped up the lead on lap one with Swanson, Leigh Bourke, Dean Pictor and Ricky Cornwall the top five. On lap thirteen and seemingly on his way to a big win Fitzpatrick finished the race infield with mechanical damage whilst Swanson took the lead with Bourke and Cornwall chasing.
Jack Van Bremen moved into fourth for a while ahead of Pictor before his car suffered the same fate as Fitzpatrick and finishing in the middle. Swanson closed out the win, his second in the series after missing the first round winning by less than a second from Bourke, Cornwall, Pictor and local woman Kate Meyer.
In the series overall, Bourke claimed victory from Swanson, Pictor picking up his first ever career trophy, Cornwall and Daniel Carter.
Unlimited Sedan action in the qualifiers included Sean Lister getting around in almost the thirteen second bracket; however Jason Picone flying over the top of Scott Purdie, car over car was the talk of the show as the Purdie car finished parked for the night before Picone moved on into the final. Lister won from Picone, Tim Williams picking up his first podium in the Unlimited Sedan class ahead of Cameron Impey and Ian Page.
Closing out the results Leigh Gooding was the winner of the Standard Saloon final finishing ahead of track champion Hayden Clifford, Craig Templeton, Tim Hutchinson and Jamie Curtis.
