Talented racing hopeful Sean Evans has joined with Jasen Hannegan’s ExcelCup.com.au race team for this weekend’s round of the Track Attack Australia Excel Cup at Queensland Raceway.
After spending several months testing and developing with Hannegan’s three-car team, Evans will get the chance to jump behind the wheel in a round of the competitive Excel Cup series.
The former Kart racer has tested V8 Utes and a TA2 Series Camaro in his quest to forge a professional racing career, and last year joined Excel Cup regular Michael Tuckwood for the Aussie Shades Solutions 200 endurance race.
Evans is looking forward to joining the ExcelCup.com.au team this weekend with the support of Royan Truck and Trailer Repairs.
“It was a shock when Jasen offered me the chance to take the wheel in the Excel Cup this weekend,” said Evans.
“I really enjoyed teaming up with Michael Tuckwood last year in the 200km enduro race, I was surprised by how technical you have to be to drive these Excels on the limit.”
“I’ve been working with Jasen Hannegan and the team since the start of the year, and the driver line-up has been improving and getting faster at each outing.”
“I’ve always enjoyed long-term support from Royan Truck and Trailer Repairs, a company that shares my passion for cars and motorsport whilst being a leader in their industry.”
“I can’t wait to get out there in the #33 Royan Excel with the ExcelCup.com.au racing team.”
Round six of the 2018 Track Attack Australia Excel Cup hits the track at Queensland Raceway for qualifying and four races (2x 10 laps & 2x 12 laps) in support of the Queensland Racing Driver’s Championship meeting.
