Eagle Fuels lands at The Bend

Mobil 1™ MEGA Racing has today revealed a livery tweak to James Courtney’s Car No. 22 for this weekend’s OTR SuperSprint at The Bend, with Eagle Fuels to take over the major branding position on both sides of the car.

Following on from the successful integration of Carpentaria Fuels and FuelCorp to the major branding position in recent rounds, MEGA have once again pushed their local subsidiary into the spotlight.

Eagle Fuels, a division of MEGA Limited, understand that they do not simply just provide fuel, they provide a service; a philosophy shared across all units of the MEGA Limited business.

Their core market of Fuel and Lubricants distribution is Victoria and South Australia, having been in operation since 2005.

Bringing the Eagle Fuels brand to the Virgin Australia Supercars Championship at The Bend was a strategic decision due to the local market they service.

With rapid growth in the last 18 months, MEGA Limited has expanded its network and customer base adding Eagle Fuels to its growing arm of subsidiaries.

Their recent opening of their first retail service station in the Brisbane suburb of Rocklea is the first in a planned rollout of MEGA fuel stations along the Eastern Seaboard.

The company has been in a strong phase of acquisitions throughout 2019, taking control of a number of fuel distribution companies to bolster its bulk fuel distribution capabilities and establish a network that can support the retail rollout.

MEGA has the capacity to supply ethanol-based fuel, unleaded, premium unleaded, diesel, marine and aviation fuel. It can also install bulk storage tanks with world leading electronic solutions for multi-user workplaces – such as regional councils – or associations that wish to offer their members premium fuel at better prices.

The livery tweaks across both cars will continue at various remaining rounds in 2019, while the MEGA branding will return to Scott Pye’s No. 2 for the weekend.

Both Mobil 1 MEGA Racing Commodores get underway at the 2019 OTR SuperSprint later today, August 23, with an additional drivers session, as well as practice 1 and 2.

“MEGA are doing an outstanding job assisting their subsidiaries into the spotlight and reinforcing the link between the local brand and MEGA Limited.

“We welcome Eagle Fuels into the Walkinshaw Andretti United family, a company who are continuing to do great things in the region. It’s fitting that we are racing in an area so familiar to their market in South Australia.

“The logo looks fantastic on the side of the car; you won’t miss the Eagle this weekend!”

“This weekend’s Virgin Australia Supercars round at Tailem Bend is the perfect opportunity for us to provide some exposure for our bulk fuel distribution arm that has been operating in Victoria and South Australia for over 15 years.

“Eagle Fuels aim to be a market leader that creates enduring customer relationships through second to none operational excellence, and second to none service.

“It is fantastic for our staff and customers to see the link between MEGA and Eagle Fuels, and we look forward to supporting both James and Scott as they hit the track today.”

“The team at Walkinshaw Andretti United and Supercars have been instrumental in understanding the strategic marketing plan linking our subsidiary business units and providing exposure for them in local markets.

“The Eagle Fuels logo looks great on James Courtney’s Car No. 22 and this weekend’s OTR Supersprint is sure to be a great experience both at the track and via telecast for our valued staff and customers.
