Cars and Coffee comes to Liqui-Moly Bathurst 12 Hour

MEDIA RELEASE: One of Australia’s most popular motoring pastimes will merge with Australia’s International Endurance Race in 2017.

‘Cars and Coffee’ – a popular gathering of likeminded motorists where they consume both the automotive variety on show and the ever popular beverage – will become part of the Liqui-Moly Bathurst 12 Hour event next February, adding to the festival flavour around the Mount Panorama precinct.

The inaugural Meguiar’s Cars and Coffee will be held on Saturday 4 February and Sunday 5 February next year within the broader Liqui-Moly Bathurst 12 Hour event.

Strictly limited to 50 places, Meguiar’s Cars and Coffee will follow a traditional format utilised by similar Cars and Coffee events – with the key difference being that participants will be able to stick around to watch the Liqui-Moly Bathurst 12 Hour weekend evolve following the completion of the Cars and Coffee vehicle judging.

A dedicated Cars and Coffee parking area will be designated on both Saturday and Sunday with easy access to the spectating areas around the Mountain.

One and two day packages are available for interested parties, with the package offering exclusive bonuses including a parade lap of Mount Panorama on Saturday, as well as access to the VIP lounge on top of the pit building to enjoy the Pirelli Top-10 shootout that afternoon.

Judging of entered vehicles will take place across both days.

“It seemed a logical fit to mix the enthusiast-driven Cars and Coffee experience with one of Australia’s most prestigious and exciting events in the Liqui-Moly Bathurst 12 Hour,” said Cars and Coffee event organiser Luke O’Neill.

“The people that attend Cars and Coffee events are likeminded enthusiasts who will love the exotic supercars and star drivers that the Liqui-Moly Bathurst 12 Hour attracts.

“Meguiar’s Cars and Coffee at the Bathurst 12 Hour will follow a traditional format of parking up, drinking coffee, looking at and talking about cars, judging said cars, then moving on: The difference is, instead of going home to clean the house, participants will spend the rest of the weekend watching one of the best motorsport events in Australia!

“We think the package offered here is a great way to get amazing access to a truly exciting event, as well as be involved in the very first Bathurst 12 Hour Cars and Coffee.”

Entry is $99 per car (for 1, 3-day pass) or $129.00 (2, 3-day passes). Entry includes event ticketing, access to the dedicated Cars and Coffee area, parade laps, VIP access to the top-10 shootout and more.
