Camden-Based Racer Cameron Crick has one thing firmly on his mind – the final round of the Toyota 86 Racing Series, set to take place between November 23-25 on the streets of Newcastle.
Having recently celebrated his 21st birthday, Crick hopes to close out what has been a stellar season with a successful round at Newcastle. The 2018 season has seen Crick record 6 podium finishes between the Toyota 86 Racing Series and ECB SuperUtes Series, as well as race wins in the Subaru Karting Assosciation NSW Endurance Series. Currently sitting 3rd in the 86 series championship, Crick will enter the round hoping to perform with the type of consistency which has been the hallmark of his racing this season.
“While we haven’t notched any wins in the 86 or Utes this year, we’ve always been there or thereabouts up the top end of the field, and even on the weekends where everything hasn’t been working well or we’ve run into some bad luck, we’ve manage to just graft and grind our way through the weekend and still produce solid results,” Crick reflected, “To go through the season so far with every round being a top-10 finish at least is something myself and the team are very proud of, and so we are hoping to replicate that kind of performance in our last round. It’s pretty tight at the top of the championship ladder so I’m sure all the boys will be gunning pretty hard and produce some great action out on the track”.
All races and qualifying sessions will be broadcasted live on Fox Sports Channel 506 across the weekend. Crick will go into the weekend with the support of his tremendous sponsorship team, including:
