The Phillip Island Six Hour – the final round of the 2018 Jacuzzi Spas Australian Production Cars season – will be televised live on the free-to-air C31 Melbourne channel on Sunday November 4.

The November event at Victoria’s picturesque Phillip Island Grand Prix Circuit will be streamed live and free online on both the 3rd and 4th of November thanks to Blend Line TV, with C31 televising the Blend Line TV live feed of the Phillip Island Six Hour race from 12.00pm to 4.00pm on the 4th of November.

The final two hours of the race will then be broadcast exclusively online through the APC and Blend Line TV channels (YouTube and Facebook), again at no cost to viewers.

“C31 has always dedicated itself to providing every Victorian with content they can call their own,” Channel 31 Melbourne Digital Manager, Mitchell Kalika, said.

“Whether that be focusing on small niche groups, or on larger sporting communities – it’s a major part of our programming philosophy, and a point we hold very dear in our hearts.

“You can find places, faces and events on CTV that you just wouldn’t find on mainstream television, and we’re proud to invite the Australian Production Car Series to join us in this journey.

“The team at Channel 31 are excited to be working with DGB Media (producers of Blend Line TV) to televise the finale of the Australian Production Cars 2018 season. Coming straight from Phillip Island to the small screen, this is an event we’re proud to be a part of – and one you won’t want to miss.”

DGB Media’s Daniel Beckinsale said he was looking forward to working with the APC and C31 to broadcast all the action of the much anticipated Phillip Island Six Hour.

“To be working with the Jacuzzi Spas Australian Production Cars to broadcast their whole race and indeed their whole weekend live from Philip Island is something we are very excited about,” Beckinsale said.

“We are very pleased to be working with C31 to broadcast into the lounge rooms of Melbourne and Geelong viewers on Sunday November 4.”

Jacuzzi Spas Australian Production Cars Category Manager Iain Sherrin said he was looking forward to seeing the APC live on C31.

“The Phillip Island Six Hour is shaping up to be a great event. As part of our planning, we were dedicated to making sure we were able to offer a two-day live stream package which isn’t often seen at the national racing level. Now to have C31 on-board in addition to this expanded streaming package means the coverage we are delivering to our racers and their fans has gone to another level,” Sherrin said.

“With APC racing now being broadcast direct into Melbourne homes as well as those in Geelong, I can’t wait to hear the feedback from viewers as we put on a great show for our final round of the year.”

The Phillip Island Six Hour event, promoted by the Jacuzzi Spas Australian Production Cars, will be held at the Phillip Island Grand Prix Circuit across November 2-4.

Joining the APC racers on-track at Phillip Island will be the final round of the 2018 Australian Prototype Series presented by Hot Wheels, BMW E30 Club racing – including a one-hour enduro race and a special invitational class for Production and Improved Production entrants – and Lotus Regularity sprint sessions run by Lotus Australia.

Those wanting to watch the event will be spoilt for choice also: trackside tickets are available at the gate from just $20 for adults and $15 for concession holders (please click here for full ticket pricing) and full coverage of both Saturday and Sunday’s action will be provided online thanks to a free live stream available through www.australianproductioncars.com.au and www.facebook.com/AustralianProductionCars
