Broc Feeney’s Supercars call-up and Super3 Supershot at Winton

16-year-old Gold Coaster, Broc Feeney is set for a busy schedule at Winton Motor Raceway this weekend, having been given the callup to pilot Anton de Pasquale’s Penrite Racing Supercar in Saturday’s Virgin Australia Supercars Series Additional Driver session and the continuation of his Kumho Tyre Super3 Supercars Series campaign in the Exit Timeshare Now Racing car.Broc Feeney's Supercars call-up and Super3 Supershot at Winton

The additional driver session opportunity has come about through his scholarship at the Paul Morris Racing Academy, where his introduction to Supercars has come with the advice of main game star de Pasquale.

It also continues a long relationship with Australian oil distributor, Penrite that dates back to Broc’s father’s motorcycle race teams and distributorship and Broc’s distinguished karting career.

Feeney’s key focus this weekend is aboard the Exit Timeshare Now Supercar in the Kumho Tyre Super3 Series. He enters the round third on points after the opening round at Phillip Island that netted the pole position and a win on debut.

The Winton Motor Raceway circuit isn’t new to Feeney having completed his first official Supercars test with Brad Jones Racing at the northern Victorian venue last December. He also recently completed a test session there with the Paul Morris Motorsports prepared Exit Timeshare Now car ahead of this weekend.

Naturally, Feeney is thrilled with the opportunity to pilot de Pasquale’s car and get a first hand look at the Virgin Australia Supercars Championship, however he also has his eyes on the Kumho Tyre Super3 Series and building upon his experience from round one.

Feeney has been busy with his studies, along with continuing his school-based apprenticeship at the Norwell Motorplex where he has been working on the Exit Timeshare Now Supercar with the Paul Morris Motorsports team.

This weekend also marks the launch of Feeney’s membership campaign.

Supercars fans can join his program from $150 or a $250 package and have their name on his car. Various benefits, including exclusive merchandise and news ahead of time are associated with each package.

To join the Exit Timeshare Now Racing team, head to Feeney’s Facebook page – www.facebook.com/brocfeeney93 and message directly.

Practice for the Kumho Tyre Super3 Series begins on Friday with the Supercars Additional Driver Practice session taking place at 9:20am on Saturday.

Live coverage of the Supercars Additional Driver Session and all three Kumho Tyre Super3 Series races are on Fox Sports and KAYO.

In 2019, Broc Feeney is supported by Australia’s first advocacy for those stuck in costly timeshare arrangements, Exit Timeshare Now, along with Norwell Motorplex, Firestar Developments, allrentals.com.au, Labrys, Paul Feeney Group and Create and Supply Apparel.

BROC FEENEY – QUOTEBOARD:

“I’m pretty excited by the opportunity to jump behind the wheel of Anton’s car on Saturday. It wasn’t something that was even on my radar at the beginning of the year, but to have this opportunity at 16 years of age is pretty awesome!

“I can’t thank Anton enough for handing me the ‘keys’ to his car, but also the team at Erebus and Penrite Racing. Paul Morris has been instrumental in putting this together and he has backed my ability as well as training me along every step of the journey.

“It also gives us a chance to continue the relationship with Penrite Oil who have been part of my program for many years and were part of my transition from karts to cars.

“The major focus this weekend for us is the Exit Timeshare Now Supercar in the Kumho Tyre Super3 Series. Last time out at Phillip Island was a massive learning experience.

“I walked away from that event understanding so much more about the car and what is required to race a Supercar.

“Heading to Winton, I have been at the circuit a few times now, so have a good understanding of the racetrack and what is required to get around there.

“The team from Exit Timeshare Now and all our sponsors continue to support us at every level and I welcome the guys that have joined our membership program from this weekend. We’re only getting started with that and will be looking to build on it in the future.

“It is an exciting time for me, my family and all my supporters.”
