The first official Brabham merchandise collection in the brand’s 60-year history has been launched in celebration of triple Formula 1 World Champion, racing and engineering legend Sir Jack Brabham following his sad passing in May.

Available online by visiting www.brabham.co.uk and clicking on Store, the Brabham Retro limited edition apparel is released courtesy of Sir Jack’s youngest son, former F1 driver and Le Mans 24 Hours winner David Brabham, who owns the rights to the Brabham name, as he seeks to rebuild the iconic Brabham brand.

The exclusive collection initially features a cap and choice of t-shirts in three striking designs, two of which feature the legendary cars in which ‘Black Jack’ became the only driver to win a World Championship in a car of his own manufacture.

Fans can now be the proud owners of a black tshirt bestowed with a stunning line drawing of Jack’s majestic Brabham BT19 1966 world-beater, a white tee featuring an aerial colour illustration of the hallmark dark green and gold Brabham-Repco, or the simple black Brabham Retro top.

Each one of the quality limited edition garments also proudly sports a laurel with a reminder of the years Sir Jack claimed his World Championship crowns.

David launches the family’s first official merchandise to coincide with the Silverstone Classic Super Sunday.

Today he will help to front the World Record Grand Prix Parade in the Brabham BT24 – the 1967 Formula 1 Driver and Constructor title-winning car with Denny Hulme.

David Brabham commented: “I’m really excited to launch the first official Brabham merchandise and the Brabham Retro range. It’s no secret that we have been laying the foundations to do something really exciting with the name and this is just the start of it.

“Brabham has so much history and success spanning over half a century and we felt it was time to celebrate what my father achieved and the wider brand.

“I guess it’s hard to believe that Brabham hasn’t had an official collection before now, it’s been a long wait for our loyal fans but in time we hope to grow the range with even more bespoke and quality items to meet our fans’ demands.”
