MEDIA RELEASE: Bentley Motorsport has unveiled its 2017 works team livery at the first race of the Crewe-based team’s season, Bathurst 12 Hours, as well as revealing some design additions for the world-famous Australian endurance race.

The evolutionary design, to be used throughout the upcoming Blancpain GT Series, most notably incorporates more of the racing green that has featured on all of Bentley Motorsport’s racing cars, including the 24 Hours of Le Mans-winning Speed 8.

For Bathurst 12 Hours, the cars not only show support for local car retail partner Bentley Sydney, but include partnership branding from DHL and a boxing kangaroo decal on the end plate of the rear wing.

“If you line up our Continenal GT3s from 2014 to today, you will see that the livery has been developed rather than redesigned,” commented Brian Gush, Director of Motorsport at Bentley. “Each design is clean and contemporary but with each season it gets more bold. The additional decals on the front wing accentuate the Continental’s wide arches and dominating stance and the green rear is a clear nod to the Bentleys of the past.

“For Bathurst, we wanted to add some elements that paid homage to the Australian countryside that we race through, so we’ve added a boxing kangaroo to the end plates of the rear wing,” Gush added. “Hopefully this makes the kangaroos think twice about crossing the road while the 12-hour race is taking place!”

Bathurst 12 Hour takes place this weekend on Mount Panorama in New South Wales, Australia.
