S-Sport Racings very own pun loving young gun driver Ben Silvestro is back in one of the teams Mazda RX8 Cup Cars for Season 2023. Ben is looking forward to having further sponsors come on board during the year to support his campaign to do the whole 2023 season.
For round one, Ben is pleased to announce support from Surface Coating specialist GTECHNIQ along with some extra support from ECO Safe Chemicals and Car Care Wollongong.
The RX8 Cup season is kicking off at Phillip Island on Saturday 11th February. With 17 other Mazdas on track there will be some close action packed racing. Whilst Ben has previously run near the front in the series he isn’t so sure he can come back to the bunch of current front runners. Having been associated with the series from it’s inception Ben will tell you it has become extremely competitive in the last few years. Ben has dabbled in the odd RX8 round lately and has also stayed sharp by co-driving with his father Sam in some of the 2022 Australian Production Car rounds.
Watch out for Ben in his Silver and Purple car number 85.
