AWC Motorsport Academy to sponsor Tyler Greenbury at Tasmanian Super2 roundThe AWC Motorsport Academy are excited to announce that they will be the naming rights sponsor of Tyler Greenbury’s Holden commodore at this year’s Symmons Plains round of the Dunlop Super2 series on April 6th-8th.

Academy owner Andrew Walter said that he was pleased to help out a former karter in his endeavours to reach the pinnacle of Australian Motorsport, V8 Supercars. “I remember seeing Tyler race at the Nationals in 2008 at Launceston and he really stood out then as a star of the future, the whole objective of the Academy is to help young talent progress so it’s pleasing to be able to be part of Tyler’s 2018 campaign” Walter said.

The one off sponsorship will see the AWC Motorsport Academy logo embossed on the side of the Matt Stone Racing prepared Holden Commodore for the second round of the 7 round series. Greenbury cut his teeth in go karts winning the first of his 3 National Championships at the Launceston Kart Club in 2008, so he will be heading back to Tasmania with fond memories.

The AWC Motorsport Academy was set up in 2015 by Andrew Walter to help young Tasmanian Karters compete on the mainland at rounds of the Australian Kart Championship, the Academy last year supported Dale Wood at the corresponding Symmons Plains round and this year have added a couple of mainland drivers to the AWCMA squad with current Australian Champion Jay Hanson along with New South Welshman Dean O’Brien joining locals Fletcher Bellars, Callum Bishop, Lochie Dalton, Alastair Lee and Zane Wyatt in the team. Stay tuned for further media releases and details regarding promotion dates and venues.
