ARMOR ALL & STP get behind expanded Power Stage
Armored Autogroup, the manufacturer of leading car care brand ARMOR ALL and oil & additives brand STP, have thrown their support behind the East Coast Bullbars Australian Rally Championship’s Power Stage for 2015.
The ARMOR ALL & STP Power Stage, run at each of the five Rounds this season in the lead up to the first competitive stage, will see the fastest two-wheel and four-wheel drive competitors vying for prize money once again this season.
The fastest 3 two-wheel drive and fastest 3 four-wheel drive competitors over the qualifying stage will then go head-to-head in a final one lap dash. The quickest two and four-wheel drive competitor will then receive a cheque for $500 each.
In addition to the prize money on offer the 3 two-wheel drive crews will also secure bonus Championship points, with the fastest earning five points, the second fastest three points and the third fastest a single point.
“It’s terrific to be not only able to welcome ARMOR ALL back again for another year, but also to be welcoming STP to the East Coast Bullbars Australian Rally Championship for the first time,” said ARC Chairman Ben Rainsford.
“The Power Stage has proven to be an exciting addition to our sport, where the leading drivers scrap it out for the bonus points and prize money on offer over a short course. It’s exciting for the crews competing, the spectators and the audience watching all the action at home.”
In addition to their Power Stage involvement ARMOR ALL has been named the Official Car Care Products Sponsor and STP the Official Oil & Additives Sponsor of the ECB ARC.
“To have such household names as ARMOR ALL and STP a part of the Championship is incredibly exciting,” added Rainsford. “We thank them for their involvement and look forward to a long and fruitful relationship.”
The first ARMOR ALL & STP Power Stage will be held around the oceanside foreshore of Busselton in Western Australia on Friday 27th March. The Quit Forest Rally, the opening Round of the 2015 Championship, gets underway later that same evening before the action heads to the forests on Saturday 28th and Sunday 29th March.
Spectators and fans who can’t make it trackside can watch the ARMOR ALL & STP Power Stage in its thrilling entirety on both Network Ten and Fox Sports throughout the season, stay tuned torally.com.au for television dates and times.
