Round 1 of the 2015 Australian Off Road Championship kicks off this weekend with the BFGoodrich Tires Sunraysia 600.
The racing will be staged 50kms west of Mildura, VIC on Ivan Robinson’s Kerra Station.
The Sunraysia Motor Sport Club have been working hard putting the final touches on the course marking, which will see a strong field of over 50 cars contest the 600km race.
The weekend commences on Friday with full course reconnaissance out at the track followed by Scrutiny at the TAFE Oval back in the heart of the city of Mildura from 4-8pm.
The teams will be eager to show off their new liveries and all competitor vehicles will be on display for fans to get up close and to mingle with the drivers after a long five-month break.
Saturday sees Prologue reconnaissance held from 8am before the Prologue kicks off at 9.30am, followed by the Top 10 Shootout.
New for the 2015 Championship will be the ARMOR ALL Pole Position Award on Saturday which will see the winner collect a $500 cash prize.
Then the competition starts at 1.30pm on Saturday afternoon, consisting of two laps of the 100km track for all competitors. Sunday sees four laps of the 100km course starting at 8.00am.
