Aidan Read continues to add to his 2018 racing programme this time racing for Vattana Motorsport in the Thailand Super Series event in Sepang Malaysia beginning 29th March 2018.
The young western Australian will race alongside team owner Chonsawat Asavahame in the Team’s 2015-spec McLaren 650S GT3 in the Supercar GTM Plus class in two one-hour races in which the Bangkok based team will also field three Lamborghini Gallardo GT3 in FL2 configuration
Whilst the Thailand Super Series and the McLaren may be new to Aidan, the Sepang Circuit is definitely not. The 19-year-old has racked up multiple victories at the technical Malaysian track in Formula cars, LMP3 and LMP2 machinery and he will be looking forward to adding a GT victory to his already impressive CV.
“I am very grateful to the team for the opportunity to race with them in Sepang,” Aidan said. “Sepang is like my home track and I can’t think of a better place for me to drive the Vattana Motorsport McLaren for the first time. I’ve heard great things about the team and the Thailand Super Series so I can’t wait to get on track!”
