2017 Australian Vintage Kart Prix set to be another world class event
The organisers, QVHK (Queensland Vintage & Historic Karting) in conjunction with the Ipswich Kart Club will again stage this great event.
The 2014 running of the Australian Vintage Kart Prix was attended by drivers from around the world and was recognised as the largest vintage karting event in the world at that time.
As with other forms of motor sport, vintage and historic events generate a strong following by competitors and fans due to it’s raw appeal and cherished memories.
The full range of Vintage era kart classes ranging from the 50’s through to the 90’s will provide the spectacle along with the legends who graced the sport of karting.
The event for 2017 will be a celebration of the champions of karting that graced the sport during those vintage era’s that are represented on track.
The 2017 event is once again expected to host a contingent of international karts and drivers together with invited guests including 1973 World Karting Champion Terry Fullerton, recognised as one of the all time greats of Karting and revered by the likes of Senna who spawned from such great era’s of karting Competition.
The Australian Vintage Kart Prix will not only see many former champions attend the event, there will also be a large display element made up of Australian karting history together with general motorsport history.
One of the highlights of the 2014 Australian Vintage Kart Prix was the Saturday night Gala Dinner hosted by renowned motoring identity and Commentator Will Hagon.
The 2017 Era Of Champions Gala Dinner aims to be just as rewarding for all those who attend.
The 2017 event will be held from August 11th to 13th at the Ipswich Kart Club, Champions Way, Willowbank.
