Burson Auto Parts has extended its partnership with the Confederation of Australian Motor Sport until at least the end of 2018.
As part of the deal, Burson will continue to support grassroots motor sport, as well as focus on future stars of the sport, with the Burson Rookie of the Round and Rookie of the Year to continue as part of the CAMS Jayco Australian Formula 4 Championship.
Burson will also remain as an official partner for CAMS State and National Awards, which will be held in early 2018. Burson will also proudly support the Burson Future Star Award.
CAMS CEO Eugene Arocca said he was delighted the two organisations would continue to work together into the future.
“The team at Burson have been great supporters of motor sport in this country and as one aspect of our partnership have been able to help some of our most talented younger drivers thrive in the CAMS Jayco Australian Formula 4 Championship,” Arocca said.
“A top prospect in Australian motor sport, Will Brown, was named Burson Rookie of the Year in 2015, and is one of the leading drivers in this year’s Dunlop Super2 Series.
“We’re looking forward to working closely with Burson as this partnership continues on into 2018 as together we help support even more future stars.”
Burson Executive General Manager Craig Magill said his team were pleased to be working with CAMS for yet another year.
“Motor sport is a real passion for us and many of our customers who rely on us for specialist advice and parts,” Magill said.
“With a focus on the up-and-coming drivers, as well as those passionate motor sport participants at a grassroots level, we’re really pleased to be supporting CAMS and the work they do in the community.”
Burson has more than 160 stores nationwide and employs more than 1500 team members. Burson are Australia’s trade specialist supplier of automotive aftermarket parts, accessories and workshop equipment, and service their customers via an extensive store network with more than 700 delivery vehicles on the road.
CAMS has been the custodian of motor sport in Australia since 1953 and is the National Sporting Authority (ASN) for motor sport in Australia.
