Mark Winterbottom has become a dad for the second time after the arrival of a baby boy early this morning.
While at the launch of Ford Performance Racing’s Pepsi Max Crew Falcon, Winterbottom got the call that his wife had gone into labour and he headed straight to be with her in the hospital still wearing his team gear!
The baby was not due until next week, but maybe his fast arrival is a pointer to a career similar to his father’s.
Winterbottom revealed the news via his Twitter account.
“We are over the moon to announce the safe arrival of an 8 pound 10 baby boy at 12.46am 8th feb 2013,” he wrote today.
“Everyone is doing great!
“We are slowly putting together a footy team! Or maybe team mates at Bathurst!!”
The baby boy is yet to have his name publicly revealed. He is a brother for Oliver, who is two years old.
