Aussie signs on for upcoming Asian F3 season

Australian Tommy Smith has signed on with Absolute Racing for the upcoming F3 Asian Championship Certified by FIA.
Smith finished 18th in the 2019 Asian Formula 3 season, his second year in car racing, with Pinnacle Motorsport.
“I’m excited to be joining Absolute Racing for the F3 Asian series and continuing my learning curve and results from last season,” said the 17-year-old.
“The team has welcomed me well, and that is just an amazing start for this new journey.
“There’s been some positive signs in early testing, the car felt great and I’m looking forward to a strong showing.”
The 2020 Asian Formula 3 season has been compressed and moved forward to actually start this year, in order to allow drivers to collect FIA Super Licence points from multiple series next year.
Round 1 takes place at Sepang on December 14-15.
