Reports claim Mick Schumacher will make his Formula 1 debut with Ferrari as part of the post-Bahrain Grand Prix at the Sakhir circuit test next week.
The second generation racer is yet to be officially confirmed, though it’s widely expected the German will climb aboard Ferrari’s SF90 on Monday before stepping in for Alfa Romeo on Tuesday.
Schumacher is this year set to compete in Formula 2, having won the Formula 3 European Championship last year.
In January it was confirmed he’d joined the Ferrari Driver Academy, a program which has seen the likes of Jules Bianchi, Charles Leclerc, and Antonio Giovinazzi progress to F1 in recent years.
Formula 1 heads to Bahrain this weekend for the second round of the championship, with opening practice beginning at 2200 AEDT on Friday.
