Milwaukee Racing has showcased its new Ford Mustang that Will Davison will drive in the 2019 Virgin Australia Supercars Championship.
The covers have come off the 23Red Racing entry just hours before the start of the championship’s pre-season test at Phillip Island.
Davison’s Mustang features an updated version of the striking white and red livery courtesy of title sponsors Milwaukee Tools.
After an impressive debut season last year that saw Davison finish 15th in the standings, the team has moved to within the Tickford Racing stable as a customer entry for 2019.
“It’s exciting to be entering 2019, our second year as a team at 23Red Racing,” said Davison, who will run under #23 this year.
“We’ve learnt a lot in 12 months and have had a massive offseason implementing some big changes to help boost us up to the next level.
“This new Mustang is an incredible piece of engineering, it really is a hero car globally and we are so proud to represent it on the race track this year.
“With a brand like Milwaukee on board with us again, I honestly feel we have the best looking car on the grid.
“We all share the same aggressive goals and values, and have set our targets high for this season. I can’t wait to hit the track, I’ll be giving it everything I have to get Phil (Munday), Milwaukee and all our sponsors podium results.”
Team owner Phil Munday added: “I feel like it’s going to be one of the best liveries out there.”
“Just a couple more sponsors will complete the car, and the best way to do that is to compete for race wins. In our new operation with Tickford Racing, I think we’ll have the chance to do just that.”
The team is yet to confirm its enduro line-up for this season with several options including Will’s brother Alex Davison understood to be in the mix.
