Ford Australia and New Zealand has appointed a new CEO following the resignation of current boss Graeme Whickman after 20 years of service.
The Blue Oval has today confirmed that Kay Hart, Ford’s global distribution and digital experience manager for battery electric vehicles, will become Whickman’s successor effective immediately.
One of Whickman’s last projects was to sign off the Ford Mustang Supercar program which has backing from both Ford Australia and Ford Performance in America.
Development of the Mustang is underway ahead of its scheduled 2019 race debut.
The new Ford Australia and New Zealand CEO will be based in Melbourne.
In this role, Hart will be responsible for Ford’s National Sales Company in Australia and New Zealand, including marketing, sales and service, dealer relations, customer satisfaction and sales performance.
“I am excited to come back to Asia Pacific and work with such a strong and accomplished Ford Australia and New Zealand team,” said Hart, president & CEO, Ford Australia and New Zealand.
“I’m looking forward to working with our dealers and team to continue the great progress that has been made in the consumer experience and helping accelerate growth across the business.”
