Speedcafe.com wins CAMS Journalist of the Year

Speedcafe.com editor Tom Howard was named CAMS Journalist of the Year
Speedcafe.com editor Tom Howard has been named CAMS Journalist of the Year at the CAMS Motor Sport Awards at a gala ceremony in Melbourne.
It marked the second award for Howard, who was named Supercars Journalist of the Year last November.
Howard joined Speedcafe.com in 2013 shortly after moving to Australia, and became editor heading into the 2017 season.
The award makes the Brit the first international winner of the award.
“I’m genuinely very proud to have received this award from CAMS and to be recognised by the industry in Australia,” said Howard.
“I’d like to thank ‘Crusher’ (Brett Murray, owner) for giving me the opportunity to extend my journalism career at Speedcafe.com.
“I would also like to thank Gordon Lomas and Stefan Bartholomaeus for helping learn the Australian motorsport landscape.”
It’s the second time Speedcafe.com has been awarded CAMS Journalist of the Year, after Stefan Bartholomaeus claimed the award and Story of the Year gong in 2015.
