The BMW Team SRM entry has been excluded from Qualifying 2

The #100 BMW Team SRM entry will no longer take part in the Top 10 Shootout at the Liqui-Moly Bathurst 12 Hour after being excluded from Qualifying 2.

A stewards report has confirmed that the car driven by Steven Richards, Philipp Eng and Timo Glock has been wiped from the results due to an technical breach.

Speedcafe.com understands the reason for the exclusion is due to an irregularity with the car’s boost.

The car had qualified third with Eng at the wheel and was set to take part in this afternoon’s Top 10 Shootout.

Organisers have confirmed that #55 Strakka Racing Mercedes-AMG of Cameron Waters, Nick Leventis, Lewis Williamson and David Fumanelli will now be elevated into the shootout.

“Car #100 has been excluded from Qualifying 2, due to a technical breach,” read a tweet from the Bathurst 12 Hour.

“Having qualified 11th, Car 55 (Strakka Racing Mercedes-AMG GT3) will now be elevated to the shootout.”

Speedcafe.com is yet to receive comment from the team.

The Top 10 Shootout is scheduled to begin at 1610 local time/AEDT.
