Supercars teams are expected to head to Sydney Motorsport Park for a pre-season test in February next year.
The championship has today confirmed that its annual test day will take place at the Western Sydney venue on February 16, a day after a proposed season launch in the New South Wales capital.
The test will be non-compulsory but will count towards each team’s allocation of three test days for the season.

“The teams are keen to rationalise their test days and come together at Sydney Motorsport Park to understand the tyre, like they did this year,” said outgoing Supercars CEO James Warburton on the championship’s official website.
“We’re organising a non-compulsory test day on their behalf and for us, it makes sense to combine that with a season launch in Sydney.”
The championship will once again kick-off at the Adelaide 500 from March 1-4.
